Format of Application for Refund Reissue Request to Income Tax Department

Latest Update:  Now Income Tax Assessee can change the Bank Details of Income Tax Refund Cheque through his online Income Tax India efiling Account. For Changes in Income Tax Refund Cheque he must be ready with

1) Intimation order u/s 143(1) by Income Tax Department

2) Refund Sequence Number

3) PAN Card Details

4) New Bank Account Details like Account No, IFSC Code and MICR Code  

For any change in cheque details in already issued cheque by the Income tax department assessee has to file the request in the given format with the signed cancelled cheque of the bank account for which new refund cheque is required. Below request for refund reissue is to be made to Centralized processing center, Post box no.2, electronic city post office, Bangalore-560100.

Enclose the following for proof

Kindly enclose an “ORIGINAL, SIGNED AND CANCELLED CHEQUE LEAF” along with the response sheet. Please ensure that the CHEQUES ARE ONLY CENCELLED by writing “Cancelled” across the face of the cheque leaf before sending it. The department will not be liable to any damage arising out of un-cancelled cheques. Xerox copies of cheque leaf will not be accepted.

    Hai My Name is Seera Ramesh I have filed my Incometax Return for the A.Y. 2011-12. I have claimed Refund Rs. 97,359. but the Income Tax CPC- Banglore Send the Refund Order Rs. 80,184/-. because Adjustment Of Refund Against Demand Outstanding amount Rs. 21,066/- deducting in that Claiming of Refund.
    so there is no demand or payable to income tax. for relevant the assessment year. then how can i recover balance amount and refund re issued. kindly give Your valuable advise.

      Ramesh Ji, Please meet you assessing officer as per PAN Card Record and submit you application to AO with Assessment order for which Demand was pending, stating that No Demand is pertaining for the given assessment year and request you to update your system. Take two copies of your letter and get it sealed with receipt seal on it.
      or You can send your complaint through registered Post to you Assessing Officer. You can get AO address from below Link

    My refund cheque came with the bank account number I had already closed. So I sent the cheque back to SBI Mumbai from where the cheque came (refund banker) – and I sent the details of new bank account along with the original refund order and cancelled cheque.

    Now the Status states that my refund order has been cancelled and I need to contact my accessing IT officer. How do I do that? How should I know whom my accessing officer is? I am a resident of West Delhi.

    Dear Concern,
    My Income Tax Refund is to be reissued as the previous refund cheques for Assessment Years 2009-10 and 2010-11 has sent back because i have changed my address.
    Kindly refer me how to proceed for pending refund cheques. My Pan No.-AQXPB5274C for your reference.

    My income tax returns had been dispatched on April 2nd and it had come to my address, but since I was away from the given address, the cheque had returned back to the income tax office

    I had filed assessment year 2011-12,2012-13 . But unfortunately my address and bank account no was wrong.So I returned the the cheque with xerox copy of my driving licence as address proof and axis bank account no.Still I do not receive my refund cheque. Please help me and give me reply through my mail ID. My pan no. is AGRPM4704A.

    Here Iam Mr. Kotresha H I received refund of incomtax return amount Rs, 3,180/- through cheque. (cheque No-990106) to my salary account, (A/C No-is 141701500058)
    but itis in inactive states now, so please reissue the cheque to my present account, A/C No is 004, and Bank Corporation Bank, Malleshwaram Main Branch,
    MICR No is 560017018, So please kindly send new cheque above shown account as soon as possible.

    Dear Sir

    I have filed my Income tax Return for the A.Y. 2010-11. I have claimed Refund Rs. 4,70,118/-. but the Income Tax CPC- Banglore Send the Refund by cheque Rs. 2,82,290/-.
    I were sending rectification to the income tax 10/04/2012 now if I am seeing the refund status (Others- Paper refund was cancelled or electronic credit rejected by the bank of the assessee with the reasons others. Contact your assessing officer for fresh of refund).
    but assessing officer can’t any response (My Pan no. ACLPJ0471F)
    Please tell me a right solution

    hi my name is mohammed i have file income tax return ofline through my known tax consultant. The refund had been issues but due to change in address it is been returned . as per advise of the consultant i submitted an application to assessing officer of my ward but after 3 months i don get my refund back. can you suggest how can i track the status of reissue of refund and what is the process to get back the refund .
